Measure and improve your AI authority and visibility yourself, with Third Hemisphere's tools

Do it yourself

Measure and improve your AI authority and visibility yourself, with Third Hemisphere's tools

You can measure your AI authority and visibility, meaning what ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini, and Perplexity say about your company and whether they recommend it, and improve both without hiring an agency. Start with the free AI Authority Check. Then Blueprint Monthly gives you an updated CRISP score and a fresh AI Authority Blueprint every month for AUD 399 a month, so your team does the work, what some call AI SEO or GEO, and sees each month whether it moved the answers.

What doing it yourself involves

Three things, repeated: measure what the engines say, act on what you find, and measure again on the same questions. The measuring is the part that is hard to do by hand, because each engine answers differently and so does the same engine asked twice. That is the part our tools do for you. The acting is yours.

  • Measure your AI visibility and AI authority: the questions your buyers ask, on every engine they use, asked repeatedly
  • Act: fix your facts, win the sources the engines cite, and answer the questions you lose
  • Measure again: the same questions next month, so progress shows in the answers themselves

Why measuring by hand is hard

Each engine answers differently, and so does the same engine asked twice. Anything asked once is an anecdote.

Your tools: the free check, then Blueprint Monthly

The free AI Authority Check places your company on the Star Chart and shows who the engines name instead, in about two minutes for a market we already measure. Blueprint Monthly is the do-it-yourself plan: an updated CRISP score and a fresh AI Authority Blueprint every month. Each Blueprint scores all five CRISP factors for you and your competitors, names the sources that decide your market, reads your site, and sets out a 90-day and a 12-month plan. Blueprint Monthly is AUD 399 a month, or AUD 3,830 for a year paid upfront (20% off), and you can cancel whenever you like.

Where your tools place you

The free check and every Blueprint place your company on the Star Chart the AI Authority Index publishes on.

The Star Chart places each company on two measures. Presence, across, is the share of answers that name it; Reputation, up, is whether the engines recommend it for its benefits or caution against it. Six cells name where it stands.

  • AI Famous: Named in 30 percent of answers or more, and recommended for its benefits more often than cautioned against.
  • Rising Star: Named in 15 to 29 percent of answers, and recommended for its benefits more often than cautioned against when it is.
  • Cult Favourite: Named in under 15 percent of answers, and recommended for its benefits in the answers that reach it.
  • AI Infamous: Named in 30 percent of answers or more, and cautioned against more often than recommended.
  • Bad Press: Named in 15 to 29 percent of answers, and cautioned against more often than recommended.
  • Off the Guest List: Named in under 15 percent of answers, and cautioned against more often than recommended when it is.
  1. Off the Guest List: Rarely named, and cautioned against when it is.
  2. Cult Favourite: Recommended by the few answers that reach it.
  3. Rising Star: Named more often, and still recommended.
  4. AI Famous: Named by default, and recommended for its benefits.

How to act on each CRISP factor yourself

CRISP is Third Hemisphere's proprietary technology and methodology, built upon the most cutting edge global standards and research. It scores five factors. Here is what you can do about each one in house, in the order the acronym spells them.

  • Consensus: say the same facts about your company everywhere the engines read, on your site, your profiles, and every directory and listing, so no engine has a different story to tell
  • Reputation: earn reviews, comparisons, and case studies that say why a buyer should choose you, and answer the criticisms the engines repeat
  • Influence: get into the publications, rankings, comparison sites, and directories the engines cite for your market. Your Blueprint names them
  • Source: make your own record easy to read and check: crawlable pages, structured data, a clear about page, and facts that match what others say
  • Presence: publish plain answers to the questions buyers ask before they know your name, in their words, so the engines have something of yours to bring up

Five factors, one score

What each factor asks of the engines.

CRISP is Third Hemisphere's proprietary technology and methodology, built upon the most cutting edge global standards and research.

  • Consensus. Do the engines agree about you? Your buyers do not all use the same engine. If only some of them name you, being found comes down to which one a buyer opens.
  • Reputation. Do they speak in your favour? Being named is not being chosen. This is whether the engines put you forward when a buyer is deciding.
  • Influence. Do trusted third parties back what is said about you? Engines repeat what credible third parties publish. When others carry your story, the engines tell it your way.
  • Source. Can AI read and trust your own site? Engines check what they say against what they can read. A thin record, a contradicted one, or a site they cannot read counts against you.
  • Presence. Do they mention you when buyers don't name you? Most buyers describe a need before they know a name. If the engines do not bring you up then, nothing else can happen.

Why your website alone will not get you recommended

The AI Authority Index finds that the engines decide who to recommend through independent sources, which CRISP scores as Influence. A site the engines can read is the precondition, not the lever. That is why doing it yourself means work off your site too, and why every Blueprint names the publications, comparison sites, and directories that decide your market, so you know where to spend your time.

How an answer is built

An engine reads a handful of published sources, composes one answer, and names a few brands. Being in those sources is the work.

When you would rather we did it

Some teams start on their own and bring us in for the parts that need a newsroom: earned media, rankings, and the institutions that judge an industry. AI Authority & Visibility is that programme, scoped from your Blueprint. Doing it yourself first is a good way to learn which parts you want help with.

Do it yourself, step by step

The order that works, from the first read to the second.

  1. Run the free AI Authority Check. Enter your website. The check reads your market's measured answers, asks the engines about you by name, and reads your site, then places you on the Star Chart.
  2. Read who the engines name instead, and why. Note the competitors the engines put forward, which factors you trail on, and any factor read indicatively.
  3. Start Blueprint Monthly. Agree your questions and your fact base with us once, on a 30-minute kick-off call. From then on you get an updated CRISP score and a fresh AI Authority Blueprint every month.
  4. Fix your facts and your site. Correct what the engines get wrong, make your site readable to them, and say the same facts about you everywhere: Source and Consensus.
  5. Win the sources the engines cite. Go after the publications, rankings, comparison sites, and directories your Blueprint names: Influence and Reputation.
  6. Answer the questions you lose. Publish plain answers to the buyer questions where the engines name someone else: Presence.
  7. Measure again next month. Your next Blueprint asks the same questions, so you see what moved and choose the next month's work from it.

Frequently asked questions

Can I improve my AI authority and visibility myself?

Yes. AI visibility is whether the engines name you; AI authority is whether they trust and recommend you. The work is fixing your facts, making your site readable, winning the sources the engines cite, and answering the questions you lose, and a capable marketing team can do all of it. What is hard to do by hand is the measuring, which is what the free AI Authority Check and Blueprint Monthly do for you.

What is the best way to check what AI engines say about my company in Australia?

Ask the questions your buyers ask, on every engine they use, more than once, and read who is named. The free AI Authority Check does that for your market and shows the result on the Star Chart. Blueprint Monthly repeats it every month on ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini, and Perplexity.

What is Blueprint Monthly?

The do-it-yourself plan: an updated CRISP score and a fresh AI Authority Blueprint every month, on the same questions each time, so you see whether your work moved the answers. Blueprint Monthly is AUD 399 a month, or AUD 3,830 for a year paid upfront (20% off), and you can cancel whenever you like.

How much does it cost to do it yourself?

The AI Authority Check is free. Blueprint Monthly is AUD 399 a month, or AUD 3,830 for a year paid upfront (20% off), and you can cancel whenever you like. A single AI Authority Blueprint is AUD 700, one-off.

Which AI engines does it cover?

Every Blueprint asks ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini, and Perplexity. The free check reads the five engines your market is measured on.

Is updating my website enough?

No. The engines decide who to recommend through independent sources: publications, reviews, rankings, comparison sites, and directories. Your site has to be readable and accurate, but on its own it rarely changes who the engines put forward.

How can I measure my AI visibility myself?

Ask the questions your buyers ask, without your name in them, on every engine they use, more than once, and count how often you are named and recommended. The free AI Authority Check does that for your market in minutes; the check page sets out the method by hand.

Do I need an agency at all?

Not to start, and not to measure. Many teams do the work themselves from the Blueprint's plan. Bring us in when you want a newsroom for the off-site work.
