AI visibility audit
AI visibility audit: find out what AI engines say about your company
An AI visibility audit reads what ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini, and Perplexity say when your buyers ask about your market: whether they name you, whether they recommend you, and which sources they lean on. Third Hemisphere runs it in two steps, the free AI Authority Check in minutes and the AI Authority Blueprint by hand.
What an AI visibility audit should measure
Being named is not being recommended, and being recommended is not being described accurately. A useful audit keeps the three apart. It asks the questions your buyers actually ask, on every engine they use, and asks them repeatedly, because an AI answer changes from one asking to the next. Then it reads which companies each answer names, whether it recommends or cautions, and which sources it cites.
- Presence: how often the engines name you when a buyer describes the need
- Reputation: whether they recommend you for your benefits or caution against you
- Influence and Source: which sources they lean on, and whether any of them are yours
- Consensus: whether every engine tells your buyers the same story
One question, every engine, again and again
Each engine answers differently, and so does the same engine asked twice. Anything measured once is an anecdote.
CRISP: the measure behind the audit
CRISP is Third Hemisphere's proprietary technology and methodology, built upon the most cutting edge global standards and research. It scores a company on Consensus, Reputation, Influence, Source, and Presence from the same questions asked across five engines, and places it on the Star Chart the AI Authority Index publishes on.
Five factors, one score
What each factor asks of the engines.
CRISP is Third Hemisphere's proprietary technology and methodology, built upon the most cutting edge global standards and research.
- Consensus. Do the engines agree about you? Your buyers do not all use the same engine. If only some of them name you, being found comes down to which one a buyer opens.
- Reputation. Do they speak in your favour? Being named is not being chosen. This is whether the engines put you forward when a buyer is deciding.
- Influence. Do trusted third parties back what is said about you? Engines repeat what credible third parties publish. When others carry your story, the engines tell it your way.
- Source. Can AI read and trust your own site? Engines check what they say against what they can read. A thin record, a contradicted one, or a site they cannot read counts against you.
- Presence. Do they mention you when buyers don't name you? Most buyers describe a need before they know a name. If the engines do not bring you up then, nothing else can happen.
Step one: the free AI Authority Check
Enter your website. The check identifies your company, reads your market's measured answers, asks a few engines about you by name, and reads your site. It shows where you sit, who the engines name instead, and all five factors, with any factor it reads indicatively marked as such. A market we have not measured yet is measured for you, and we email you when your report is ready.
Step two: the AI Authority Blueprint
The AI Authority Blueprint asks every engine about you by name and gives you a plan to act on, for AUD 700. It asks questions about you by name on every product, feature, and risk in your market on every engine, checks what the engines say against a fact base we lock with you, and ends in a 90-day plan and a 12-month plan that our team walks you through. After the Blueprint, the work runs as an 8-week sprint, then a 12-month programme.
Where the audit places you
The free check and the Blueprint both place your company on the Star Chart the AI Authority Index publishes on.
The Star Chart places each company on two measures. Presence, across, is the share of answers that name it; Reputation, up, is whether the engines recommend it for its benefits or caution against it. Six cells name where it stands.
- AI Famous: Named in 30 percent of answers or more, and recommended for its benefits more often than cautioned against.
- Rising Star: Named in 15 to 29 percent of answers, and recommended for its benefits more often than cautioned against when it is.
- Cult Favourite: Named in under 15 percent of answers, and recommended for its benefits in the answers that reach it.
- AI Infamous: Named in 30 percent of answers or more, and cautioned against more often than recommended.
- Bad Press: Named in 15 to 29 percent of answers, and cautioned against more often than recommended.
- Off the Guest List: Named in under 15 percent of answers, and cautioned against more often than recommended when it is.
- Off the Guest List: Rarely named, and cautioned against when it is.
- Cult Favourite: Recommended by the few answers that reach it.
- Rising Star: Named more often, and still recommended.
- AI Famous: Named by default, and recommended for its benefits.

Frequently asked questions
What is an AI visibility audit?
A measurement of what AI engines such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini, and Perplexity say when buyers ask about your market: whether they name you, recommend you, and describe you accurately, and which sources they rely on to do it.
Which AI engines does it cover?
The AI Authority Blueprint asks ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini, and Perplexity. The free check reads the five engines your market is measured on.
How is it different from an SEO audit?
An SEO audit checks how your pages rank on a results page. An AI visibility audit checks what the engines write in their answers, which leans on what independent sources say about you as much as on your own site. The two overlap on the technical work and part company on everything else.
What does an AI visibility audit cost?
The AI Authority Check is free. The AI Authority Blueprint is AUD 700, one-off.
What happens after the audit?
After the Blueprint, the work runs as an 8-week sprint, then a 12-month programme. Each stage is measured again on the same questions, so progress shows in the answers themselves.
