- Thought Leadership
Strategic advisory for UNIDO to spur sustainable industrial growth in emerging economies, shaping Myanmar's national policy and global entrepreneurship-finance alignment.
The Challenge
Emerging economies face structural barriers to industrialisation, including limited access to finance, fragmented policy frameworks, and underdeveloped entrepreneurial ecosystems. The challenge was to design national and international policy approaches that could drive sustainable industrial growth while improving access to opportunity for underserved groups, including youth and women.
Our Strategy
Third Hemisphere provided strategic advisory across national and multilateral programs, working with governments, UN agencies, and global institutions. The approach combined industrial policy development with entrepreneurship and finance frameworks, aligning economic reform priorities with sustainable development objectives and practical implementation pathways.
The Results
A national industrialisation policy was developed in Myanmar, supporting economic transition and sector diversification. At the global level, contributions to UN-led initiatives informed policy recommendations on entrepreneurship and access to finance, strengthening alignment across international institutions and advancing inclusive economic development priorities.
