Third Hemisphere packaged verified SpaceX returns from early Australian investors into a customer-fronted consumer money story and pitched it across the News Corp metropolitan network simultaneously. The result: 33 coverage items in a week, front-page print pick-ups, and a new investment category on the national agenda.
The Challenge
NonPublic gives Australian retail investors access to pre-IPO companies that were once reserved for institutions and the ultra-wealthy. The category is unfamiliar and the compliance environment is unforgiving: private markets stories must excite without overpromising. The brief was to make NonPublic the name Australians associate with pre-IPO investing, using stories mainstream readers already care about.
Our Strategy
Third Hemisphere built the July 2026 campaign around the company NonPublic's investors already loved talking about: SpaceX. The team packaged verified returns from early Australian investors into a consumer-facing money story and secured a real customer to front it.
The Execution
The agency supplied campaign imagery that newsrooms could run as-is, and pitched the story across the News Corp metropolitan network simultaneously so it landed as a national moment rather than a single placement.
The Results
The campaign generated 33 tracked coverage items, with NonPublic's spokesperson quoted throughout and the customer featured in nearly every piece. "Australian investors reap millions from early bet on Elon Musk's SpaceX" ran online across The Australian, the Herald Sun, The Daily Telegraph, The Courier Mail, The Mercury, and NT News. Print pick-ups included The Australian and "Stellar returns for those who bet on Elon" across News Corp mastheads. The campaign imagery supplied by the agency was adopted by newsrooms across the coverage, and Ausbiz followed with "Private markets target the next SpaceX" on 20 July.
- 33 tracked coverage items in one campaign
