Australian Regional AI Network (ARAIN)
Technology & Deep Tech
- Media Coverage
ARAIN's national rollout translated government funding into 7,500+ sign-ups and 100+ Tier-1 media placements through credibility-driven, regionally relevant AI storytelling.
The Challenge
The Australian Regional AI Network (ARAIN) launched with significant federal backing but required rapid national awareness and credibility across regional industries. The challenge was to translate government funding into tangible engagement, drive adoption in non-metro sectors, and position AI as practical and accessible rather than abstract or technical.
Our Strategy
Third Hemisphere designed and executed a national communications strategy focused on credibility, accessibility, and scale. This included a coordinated media launch, broadcast-led storytelling, and alignment with high-profile moments such as SXSW to secure government and industry visibility. Messaging was tailored to demonstrate real-world impact across agriculture, fisheries, and energy, ensuring relevance to regional audiences while maintaining national policy alignment.
The Results
The campaign exceeded its primary objective, delivering over 7,500 sign-ups seven months ahead of target. ARAIN achieved sustained national visibility through more than 100 Tier-1 media placements, reaching an audience of over 100 million. The initiative successfully positioned ARAIN as a central player in Australia’s AI adoption strategy and demonstrated measurable return on government investment.
