AI Visibility Diagnostic: ASX-Listed Lender
Fintech & Financial Services
- Marketing for AI
An ASX-listed lender with a decade of brand building asked what AI engines say when customers ask which lenders to consider. Third Hemisphere's 50-question diagnostic scored the brand at 67 out of 100 on PACT and found it absent from AI shortlists in a core category, converting into a structured content programme within three weeks.
The Challenge
An ASX-listed consumer lender had a decade of brand building, national media coverage, and strong products. Then its team asked a question few boards can answer: when a potential customer asks ChatGPT or Perplexity which lenders to consider, do we appear? The lender engaged Third Hemisphere to find out.
Our Strategy
Third Hemisphere ran its AI Visibility Diagnostic: 50 real buyer questions asked across the five major AI engines (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, and Perplexity), scored with the agency's PACT methodology across Presence, Authority, Consensus, and Truth.
The Execution
Every answer, citation, and omission was recorded and scored, producing a question-level picture of where the lender appeared, where it was absent, and which competitor held its slot.
The Results
The diagnostic produced a directional PACT score of 67 out of 100, with Presence the weakest dimension at 58. The critical commercial finding: the lender was absent from AI-generated shortlists in one of its core product categories, and a single competitor held that slot consistently. The finding converted directly into strategy: a 6 to 12 month structured content programme designed to close the gap, agreed within three weeks of the diagnostic. The lesson for any established brand: strong media presence does not automatically translate into AI-engine presence. You have to measure it before you can fix it.
