Hejaz launches Australia-first halal investment app

Hejaz, a leading Islamic financial services provider, has launched Australia’s first halal financial app, Halal Money, to give the country’s growing Muslim community access to Shariah-compliant financial products and services. The app features Islamic superannuation, home loans, auto finance, and Shariah-compliant ETFs. In its beta phase, the app has garnered over 15,000 downloads, signaling strong interest from the Australian Muslim population.

The app aims to simplify wealth management for Muslim investors while staying true to Islamic financial principles, such as avoiding interest-based earnings. Founder and CEO Hakan Ozyon emphasizes the app’s transformative potential, offering users a single, streamlined platform to spend, save, and invest aligned with their faith.

Simultaneously, Hejaz has partnered with Bahrain’s royal family and government to establish a Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) headquarters, expanding its services globally. Bahrain will serve as a launchpad for Hejaz’s entry into the UK and European markets, reflecting its ambition to become the leading global Muslim-owned digital bank.
