Nominations close soon for Fintech Frontiers 50
There’s only a limited time left to celebrate fintech marketing and nominate a founder for the Fintech Frontiers 50 Awards.
The awards celebrate the most influential fintech founders across Southeast Asia, many of whom are reshaping the landscape through bold innovation and strategic fintech marketing.
The event takes place this August in Kuala Lumpur.
The awards are organised by Fintech News Network, in collaboration with Bank Negara Malaysia and the Securities Commission’s MyFintechWeek.
The awards spotlight the entrepreneurs driving the future of finance in the region, with special attention to how effective fintech marketing strategies are accelerating growth and user adoption.
The event believes it is unique, as recognition is based solely on merit — impact and contribution matter most of all. Many nominees have benefited from working with a leading fintech PR agency to build visibility and credibility.
Selected winners will receive complimentary access to the event.
The nominees are organised into two categories:
Fintech Frontier 15 – the region’s top founders;
Fintech Frontier Emerging 35 – rising stars with promising potential.
To be eligible:
the nominee must be the original founder—or one of the founding members—of the company, having played a central role in establishing the business;
the founder must still have an active role in the company he/she founded;
the company must be headquartered in Southeast Asia;
Southeast Asia must be among their key markets;
the company must comply with relevant local regulations to operate in their region;
there must be a minimum of two years of operation.
The winners will gain significant visibility, say the organizers, including a feature in the Fintech Frontiers 50 Booklet, distributed to over 500,000 readers across Asia, and priority access to interviews, commentary features, podcasts, and other media opportunities—benefits that greatly enhance fintech marketing efforts.
This year’s judging panel includes respected names such as Coen Jonker, Founder & Chairman, Tyme Group; Amrish Rau, CEO, Pine Labs; Ravi Kittane, Partner, Ernst & Young Consulting Sdn Bhd; Carrie Suen, Head of Global Affairs and Strategic Developments, Ant International; Jaclyn Tsai, Chairperson, Asia Fintech Alliance; and Vincent Fong, Chief Editor, Fintech News Network.
Launched in 2015, the Fintech News Network aims to deliver fintech marketing-centric content in various forms to an audience looking for updates on fintech events and webinars, opinions from highly reputable digital finance innovators, analysis on fintech applications from active insiders, breaking news on fintech topics and fintech market alerts.

Nominations for Fintech Frontiers 50 close on 30 May 2025. Founders looking to boost their presence should consider how fintech marketing and the right fintech PR agency can help amplify their nomination across platforms.
The Fintech News Network is behind a number of fintech industry reports. The latest is the APAC edition of the Identity Fraud Report for fraud insights, based on data gathered by Sumsub.
The network makes the point that fraud has evolved into a complex, borderless threat. As businesses grow, fraudsters expand their reach, exploiting new vulnerabilities. That’s why fintech marketing today must address trust, safety, and transparency at every touchpoint.
The report highlights the fact that the identity fraud landscape has become more complex and dangerous, attributed mainly to three primary factors.
Key among these is the democratisation of fraud, mainly because advanced fraud technology is becoming more accessible and cheaper. The report demonstrates how a fraudster group can inflict losses of up to US$2.5m in a month with only US$1,000 at their disposal—a topic that’s becoming a growing concern in fintech marketing narratives.
The report also discusses how governments in various APAC jurisdictions intensify efforts to combat fraud through stricter regulations, shared responsibility frameworks and cross-agency collaboration. Communicating compliance effectively is a core task for any fintech PR agency supporting firms in the region.
The report is anchored on the observations and analysis gathered from over 1,000,000+ fraud attempts, 50+ fraud and risk professionals and 200+ end-users.
It allows readers to get first-hand insights on the fraud scene in the APAC region, a vital tool for crafting fintech marketing campaigns that resonate with investors and users alike.
The Network has also issued the 2024 Singapore Fintech Report, together with the support of Visa Direct.
It flagged that last year the Singapore fintech landscape continued its dynamic expansion, reinforcing the country’s position as a leader in payment innovation, digital banking and digital asset management — all areas where precise fintech marketing is essential to stand out.
The report places an emphasis on Singapore’s leadership in cross-border payment integration. It underscores the country’s position at the forefront of payment innovation both regionally and internationally.
Singapore continued to advance payment connectivity. It focused on linking its real-time payment system, PayNow, with those of key Southeast Asian neighbours.
Most interestingly, instant payment linkages, including QR code-based transactions, are now operational between Singapore and Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia. This enables seamless and instant payments across borders — a significant development for fintech PR agencies to highlight in media outreach and stakeholder engagement.
Singapore remains an active participant in Project Nexus. This is an initiative spearheaded by the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) to enhance global payments network connectivity.
The aim is to improve the speed, cost, transparency and accessibility of cross-border payments. It does this by establishing multilateral linkages of national retail payment systems — a complex yet important story that can be communicated with clarity through strong fintech marketing narratives.
In its fourth phase Project Nexus focuses on expanding its focus to include new jurisdictions, beginning with India.
This phase is also marked by the establishment of the Nexus Scheme Organisation (NSO), a new entity responsible for managing the Nexus scheme and its rulebook — developments that many fintech PR agencies are already working to contextualize for regional and global audiences.
The report also detailed accelerated growth in digital banking. This was driven by increased adoption and strong financial performance among Singapore’s five licensed players. All of these digital banks recorded an increase in income in 2023, ranging from a 190% increase for Grab and Singtel’s GXS Bank, to 641% growth for Anext Bank, an Ant International subsidiary.
These results show the impact of sharp fintech marketing and communications, as well as the importance of choosing a fintech PR agency that understands regulatory nuance, user segmentation, and product differentiation.
