Thoughtworks, a global tech consultancy, partnered with Australian Payments Plus (AP+), the domestic payment organization behind BPAY, eftpos, and NPP, to design comprehensive customer experience (CX) guidelines for PayTo, Australia’s latest payment innovation. PayTo enables swift and secure bank account transactions, simplifying everyday payments like bills, bookings, and digital wallet top-ups.

 

Thoughtworks’ guidelines empower merchants and billers with a clear, user-friendly blueprint to enhance customer interactions, boosting PayTo’s adoption across the nation. Over 90% of Australian retail banking accounts now support PayTo, furthering AP+’s mission to modernize payments.

 

Recently, the PayTo CX guidelines received the 2024 Good Design Award in the Digital Design – Interface category, recognizing the project’s excellence in innovation and impact. The guidelines leverage accessible UI design templates and generative AI to streamline implementation, enabling businesses to provide a cohesive and reliable payment experience.
