Tier-one MENA placements across fintech, traveltech, and blockchain, in Forbes Middle East, Entrepreneur Middle East, Salaam Gateway, and Inc. Arabia, spanning seven markets. Delivered by Mariam Imran, who leads Third Hemisphere's MENA work.

The Challenge

Companies selling into the Gulf need coverage in the publications Gulf decision-makers actually read, and those titles are regional rather than global. A funding round covered only in Western technology press does not reach a Riyadh or Abu Dhabi buyer. The brief across these engagements was consistent: land the story in the region's own tier-one business media, in markets where the outlet list, the journalist relationships, and the news agenda are all local.

Our Strategy

Mariam Imran worked the region's business and technology desks directly, matching each story to the title whose audience it actually served: funding and fintech news to Forbes Middle East, founder and startup narratives to Entrepreneur Middle East, Islamic economy and real-world-asset stories to Salaam Gateway, and regional entrepreneurship to Inc. Arabia. Announcements were paired with executive commentary so a single milestone earned more than one placement.

The Execution

Her consulting work spanned seven MENA markets, for fintech and blockchain companies including Mamo, Fasset, AHOY, and Blockchain Sports Ecosystem; for Gulf Islamic Investments, Panda, and Tabreed Saudi Arabia; for the Saudi traveltech platform almatar; and for Qatar Museums, Qatar Creates, and WISH Qatar during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

The Results

Placements include UAE fintech Mamo's $34 million raise in Forbes Middle East, almatar covered as a Saudi traveltech unicorn in Entrepreneur Middle East, Fasset's real-world-asset blockchain launch in Salaam Gateway, and a MENA edtech acquisition in Inc. Arabia. Forbes Middle East reports 19.2 million annual website views and monthly social reach of 11.3 million across 12 countries on its own about page. Across all regions her consulting work has secured 75 or more placements and coverage in over 150 publications.
