Third Hemisphere ran a LinkedIn and email outreach program to build Fremantle Seaweed's investor pipeline as the company moved toward commercial-scale production of its methane-reducing seaweed feed additive.

The Challenge

Fremantle Seaweed cultivates Asparagopsis, a native red seaweed used as a cattle feed additive to reduce methane emissions, building on research led by the CSIRO. As the company moved from pilot-scale cultivation toward commercial production, it needed to build an investor pipeline to fund its growth. Operating in a category with well-funded competitors, including ASX-listed Sea Forest, Fremantle Seaweed needed a direct, cost-effective way to reach investors rather than relying on inbound interest.

Our Strategy

Third Hemisphere built a dedicated LinkedIn and email outreach program targeting investors globally. The team compiled a large, relevant database and sent personalised connection requests and messages from the founder to build direct relationships, tracking acceptance and reply rates in real time so the client could see engagement as it happened and adjust targeting accordingly. Jeremy also drew on his network to facilitate personal introductions and meetings with select investors.

The Execution

The team sourced a database of over 1,500 relevant investor profiles globally. Personalised connection requests and emails have been sent from the founder to each investor, and outreach is ongoing at 100–200 LinkedIn connection requests and 100–200 messages per week.

The Results

The campaign has operated at a 34.9 percent new LinkedIn connection acceptance rate. Across LinkedIn and email, outreach has generated over 190 replies and 63 investor meetings so far. Jeremy facilitated personal introductions and meetings with 25 investors. Fremantle Seaweed is seeking $4.32 million from sophisticated investors, and this pipeline of engaged, warm leads already points to interest beyond the scale of the current raise.
